Life Sciences Industry Veteran, Shirley Arvey, joins Sparksoft as Director of Public Health

Columbia, MD, March 15, 2024 – Sparksoft Corporation, a leading provider of innovative Digital Health solutions, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Ms. Shirley Arvey as the Director of Public Health driving critical missions and customer satisfaction across our Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) portfolio. Shirley brings over 20 years of expertise leading teams and delivering high quality services to the Federal government. She holds a Management Science degree from Georgia Institute of Technology and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt. Shirley has provided operations leadership in both large and small businesses, successfully aligning corporate strategies to anticipate, shape, and support client missions. An experienced leader focused on providing solutions that efficiently address client needs, she has directed information technology (IT), public health, and management consulting programs supporting Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) agencies including CDC, National Institutes of Health (NIH), and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Her track record of successfully capturing and executing complex programs directly aligns with Sparksoft's commitment to delivering high-quality, innovative solutions to our clients.

Prior to joining Sparksoft, Shirley held key leadership positions at prominent firms such as Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), Booz Allen Hamilton, and SciMetrika within the technology and global health sectors. Most recently, she managed a portfolio of contracts worth $90M, with 85 staff providing Health IT, Public Health Analytics and Health Communications services to CDC. Shirley has a passion and a successful track record of growing small businesses in this space. In her new role, Shirley will oversee the strategic capture process for CDC-related opportunities, working closely with Sparksoft's business development and technical teams to drive growth and foster durable partnerships. Her exceptional leadership skills and deep understanding of the CDC's mission make her an invaluable addition as Sparksoft continues our penetration into adjacent markets across HHS.
